Tibetan Sichuan

We had a break from school in October for Golden Week and I took the opportunity to travel to Tibetan Sichuan in Western China with a hiking group from Shanghai. Our school had strongly recommended we not leave Suzhou for the holiday, but I felt that the risk was low enough to travel since there were less than 100 cases in the country and all of the patients were under medical observation. I really can’t believe my luck that I’ve ended up in one of the safest countries during the pandemic. In general things in Suzhou are very relaxed now and masks aren’t required in very many places besides subways and trains. I hope everyone I know outside of China is holding up alright at the moment. My trip to Sichuan reminded me so much of Colorado, but foggier and mossier. I’ve been so busy I didn’t have time to give this trip a proper write up, but click here for a photo album of my trip with captions about the places I went! The highlight of the trip was lots of majestic mountain landscapes.
